Precise Airflow Monitoring for an Efficient Operational Environment |
In accordance with local accident prevention regulations, it is necessary to install appropriate airflow monitoring in air handling systems. Electrical flow sensors are used to prevent damage or downtime caused by airflow failure. Even in cases where monitoring with electronic belt guards is not possible, such as with directly driven fans, the function of the air handling systems can be controlled with airflow monitors. Our airflow monitors are installed in plastic pipes, equipped with a cable and an attached terminal box, to ensure simple and reliable monitoring of airflow in air handling systems. Our sensors operate on the calorimetric principle and are made of titanium PBT in a plastic protective housing. They are suitable for operation in moist and chemically contaminated gases. The cylindrical smooth plastic housing contains the sensor, the evaluation electronics, the output relay, the adjustment potentiometer, the LEDs, and a time relay for startup bridging. During the startup and standby phase, the red and green LEDs light up simultaneously, signaling this visually. During this period, the output relay is energized, and the contact is closed. The threshold for the airflow can be continuously adjusted via a potentiometer. A red or green LED indicates either falling below or exceeding the airflow threshold. Falling below: The red LED lights up, the relay drops out. Exceeding: Normal operation, the green LED lights up, the relay is energized.
