FITTINGS AND CONNECTIONS MADE OF UP-GF
AS PER DIN 16 966





Fittings made of glass fibre reinforced polyester resins are produced according to DIN 16966, section 2, section 4 and section 5, on the basis of unsaturated polyester resins (UP resins), which are ideally suited for chemical usage under conditions of positive and negative pressure.

Glass fibre reinforced plastic (GFRP) on the basis of unsaturated polyester resins, including phenacrylate resins is natural coloured, but can be dyed depending on application and use. Basically this material is flammable, however by adding appropriate aggregates in production, the state of "low flammability" or "self-extinguishing" can be reached. By adding graphite, the material will become conductive.

Kwerk GmbH delivers liner materials for pipes and fittings according to the relevant DIN standard 16965 section 2/ pipe type B.

Our UP-GF fittings are free from defects, like air bubbles and cracks. The laminate structure according to DIN 16966 is guaranteed for the entire length. On principle, other UP-GF structures are available on request. During manufacture of UP-GF, all sealing surfacec and seams are properly laminated.
