Clear Vision in Any Condition: Introducing Sight Glasses with Built-in Wipers




 

The sight glass made of plastic is used for the visual inspection of fillings and flows in pipelines.
The sight glasses enable reliable monitoring of the function and performance of individual devices as well as entire systems.
You have a barrier-free passage.
For safety reasons, shut-off valves are also planned before and after the sight glass in the system technology, so that in the event of a break in the glass tube, the escape of the medium is minimized or kept as small as possible.

Basically, the sight glasses are constructed according to the same principle. The fixed flange made of the materials PVC U, PP, PVDF and PE-electrically conductive, designed according to DIN 2501, also serves to accommodate the stainless-steel threaded rods that are subjected to tensile stress in the flange. The borosilicate glass can also be supplied cut to lengths other than the standard, and the glass tube is sealed with EPDM, FKM or other sealing materials.

PE (polyethylene) sight glasses:
- PE sight glasses are made of high density polyethylene (HDPE) and are characterized by their high resistance to a wide range of chemicals, including acids, alkalis and organic solvents.
- They offer good transparency and allow easy visual monitoring of processes.

PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) sight glasses:
- PVDF sight glasses are made of PVDF plastic, which is characterized by high resistance to aggressive chemicals, including strong acids, alkalis and solvents.
- They offer excellent thermal stability and can also be used at high temperatures.

PVC-U (polyvinyl chloride, unplasticized) sight glasses:
- PVC-U sight glasses are made from unplasticized polyvinyl chloride and offer good chemical resistance to many acids, alkalis and salt solutions.
- They are usually transparent and allow visual inspection of the processes.
     
PE electrically conductive sight glasses:
- PE electrically conductive sight glasses are made of special conductive polyethylene materials to prevent electrostatic charges.
- These sight glasses are often used in areas where avoiding electrostatic discharge is critical, such as in explosive environments or when handling flammable liquids.
- PE electrically conductive sight glasses offer similar chemical resistance as conventional PE sight glasses and allow visual monitoring of processes.
