SIMEX GmbH & Co KG was founded in 1968 by Mr. Sauer and is one of the oldest German companies on the market, always having been under this name since the beginning. With over 2500 delivered filter presses, an extensive experience has been set up, with diverse client groups and technical designs. With our engineering partners and end-users, we adapt the filter presses to the needs of solid-liquid separation. A strong foothold is delivery of filter presses to the automotive industry and its suppliers. However, we also supply the food, chemical and construction industries. Moreover, small presses have recently been developed for applications in laboratories and small handicraft buisinesses.
Application examples are
• Sludge treatment of wastewaters in electroplating shops and painting systems
• Wastewater treatment in printing industry
• On-site recycling of grinding and drilling water in the construction industry, on large construction sites, but also in refurbishment of old buildings
• Dewatering of digestates in biogas plants
• Laboratories, production plants and technical centers for the chemical industry, e.g. for the separation of titanium oxide
• Solid-liquid separation in gelatine production
The simple and now century-old filter press principle offers the advantages of long life, low maintenance and energy demand for solid-liquid separation. This makes it the ideal system for use even under difficult infrastructure conditions.
Depending on the customer`s request, we produce also sophisticated designs with a high degree of automation, complex control systems for dry matter evacuation, washing devices, cake drying etc. Even for this mature technology there are always new solutions for system technology resulting from specific customer requirements. Our development team is continually working in the lab and test workshop to find solutions and answers to new problems relating to solid-liquid separation.
We manufacture our products at the Calw site in Germany and distribute them through our network to the German-speaking countries, Central &- Eastern Europe and Asia. After more than 45 years of history, SIMEX filter presses are today installed in plants all over the world.
In 2011 , SIMEX was taken over by Dr. T. Weber Carstanjen, bringing in his experience from previous assignments at a renowned supplier to the automotive industry and CEO of a plating company with offices in Europe and the United States.
