PLASTIC BUTTERFLY VALVES Series FE made of  PVC-U Apart from ball valves and diaphragm valves, butterfly valves made of plastic belong to the most important controlling elements in plant and apparatus engineering. These are soft-sealing and centrical fittings. The PVC U butterfly valve is suitable for throttle and shut-off functions in different fields of industry, chemistry and process engineering. Sizes of DN 40 to DN 200 mm, corresponding to DIN 3202 K2 and ISO 5752, medium length, series 25, are available. The max. permissible operating pressure is 16 bar at 20° C. The flap consists of a one-piece flap body and a flap plate made of PVC-U. If flanges are used, four oval screw holes allow different standards. The hand-operated version is equipped with an ergonomic handle made of HI-PVC with detent mechanism for quick flow regulation. The integrated adaptor flange allows easy assembly of a manual gearbox or drive with the connecting dimensions F 05, F 07, F10 as per ISO 5211. Only the seal comes into contact with the medium, not the flap body. The lining of the butterfly valve matches with the seal and is exchangeable.  Available materials for the seals are  EPDM, FPM or NBR. The PVC U butterfly valve can also be used as fast-removal valve, for instance, at tanks.  The PVC-U complies with currently valid regulations and is approved for drinking water and other consumable products.
