Exhaust hoods In many production processes gases may be generated by chemical reactions and other impacts. The legislator only allows maximum permissible MAK-values (threshold limit value). In order to prevent aerosols, gases or vapors from spreading in the working area of the staff, such media have to be exhausted immediately at the place of origin. We also make sure that an optimal result and the required impact are realized with a minimum of air volume, in order to keep costs low. Depending on application and the requirements of the production, we plan and build for instance suction webs, exhaust hoods and components for complete enclosure of the plant, so that the MAK-concentration is under the maximum permissible value. Filling stations for storage tanks with chemicals For a safe and secure filling of storage tanks with chemicals, the filling pipes should be equipped with a filling station, in order to meet the requirements of the Water Resources Act (WHG), the Labour Inspectorate and the Trade Association. Execution of the filling station should ensure that: the filling nozzle has a locking possibility, so that no unauthorised person will have access to the filling pipe. a rinsing water connect and an eye shower are availale a clear labelling of the filling nozzle with the filling medium is guaranteed. the filling process is controlled by the necessary signal lamps and a horn. Dosing systems The engineering domain DOSING SYSTEMS requires profound expert knowledge in chemistry and process technology. Depending on customer requirements and the challenge of particular problems, we are offering our customers individual process solutions especially matching with customer needs and applicable regulatory conditions. Ventilation systems For the overall ventilation in a production plant we plan and build sophisticated technologies and complete concepts. To our delivery range do not only belong ventilators and fume scrubbers, but also supply and exhaust air pipes, molded parts, deflector hoods, rain water separators, ventilation stacks, etc. An extensive store with customary ventilation formed parts complete our portfolio. A well trained, innovative team for air flow-, pressure- and vibration measurements guarantees the necessary quality and the indispensable plant safety as well. Beyond that, service, assembly, maintenance and repair of your ventilation system around the clock is part of our scope of delivery. Storage tanks At our plant we plan and produce storage tanks with approval mark from the German institute for structural engineering (Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik - DIBt). The tanks are made of PE-HD, sheet material, PE-HD winding tube or composite PVC-GFK. The storage tanks are available with receptacles, overfill protections, agitators, level monitoring, dosing systems and filling stations, as rectangular and cylindrical tank. The storage tanks are used to store acids, alkalis, chemicals, solvents and other media. Customer’s wish for an optimal advice and the right concept for your construction project is the key objective of our activities. Safety and functionality are given first priority in our cooperation. Our technicians and engineers will assist you from the planning phase, passing the approval procedures up to the commissioning and maintenance. Processing effects The conductive properties depend to a large extent on the particle orientation of the conductivity additive. As generally such particles do not have an ideal spherical shape, they get, because of processing effects, a certain orientation for instance during extrusion in a plastic melt facility. Isotropic distributed particles produce a static uniform conductivity into all directions. Oriented particles lead mainly to orientation direction, however worse than isotropic distributed particles. Numerous studies on extruded and molded EL-semi-finished procucts show however that the manufacturing process has only very little influence on the conductive behaviour of the semi-finished product. Pressed EL-sheets have an isotropic behaviour and therefore a more homogeneous electrical conductivity than extruded sheets and pipes. Measurement of the surface resistance and volume resistance (DIN IEC 167, DIN IEC 93). Several influencing factors have to some extent a substantial effect on the measurement results of the electrical resistance (surface and volume resistance). The "connection" of the measuring electrodes to the surface of the semi-finished product to be tested is very important for exact recording fo the electrical resistance. Use of inappropriate electrodes may cause measuring errors in the range of approx. 10.000 Ohms. Therefore it is recommended to use adhesive electrodes made of conductive silver, ensuring a good connection and reproducible measurement results at any time. Through mechanical treatment, such as roughening of the surface, the measurement value of the surface resistance can be increased considerably. When checking then the construction, a larger electrode gap should be preferred, where appropriate.
